Question 1

Is Decidely completely free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Decidely is 100% free forever. There are no subscriptions, no locked pro tiers, no credit card requirements, and no login gates. All 20+ calculators, amortization schedules, and comparison engines are fully accessible to everyone.

Question 2

How does Decidely guarantee zero calculation errors or AI hallucinations?

Accepted Answer

Unlike generative AI language models that predict numbers probabilistically, Decidely executes pure deterministic client-side mathematics using standard financial equations (such as the standard amortization formula M = P[r(1+r)^n]/[(1+r)^n - 1] and compound interest formulas). Every formula, assumption, and worked example is published transparently.

Question 3

What is the 20/4/10 rule for car affordability?

Accepted Answer

The 20/4/10 rule is a conservative personal finance guideline for buying a car: put at least 20% down, finance the vehicle for no longer than 4 years (48 months), and ensure total monthly vehicle expenses (loan payment, auto insurance, fuel/charging, and maintenance) do not exceed 10% of your gross monthly income.

Question 4

How does Decidely compare renting versus buying a home?

Accepted Answer

Decidely's Rent vs. Buy Calculator runs a multi-year Net Present Value (NPV) projection that factors in home appreciation, mortgage interest, property taxes, insurance, routine maintenance (1% rule), and selling closing costs versus renting plus investing the down payment and monthly cash flow differences into a broad-market index fund.

Question 5

What is the difference between the Debt Avalanche and Debt Snowball payoff strategies?

Accepted Answer

The Debt Avalanche method pays off debts in order of highest interest rate (APR) first, which mathematically minimizes total interest paid and results in the fastest debt freedom. The Debt Snowball method pays off debts in order of smallest balance first, which provides early psychological and behavioral wins.

Question 6

How can I download and install Decidely on Android offline?

Accepted Answer

You can download the official Decidely Android v1.2 APK directly from https://decidely.site/download. The APK is 17.0 MB, cryptographically signed, requires Android 8.0+, runs 100% offline with zero data telemetry, and features all 22 verified financial calculators.

Question 7

Does Decidely work without internet, cellular, or Wi-Fi?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Both the Decidely progressive web app and the standalone Android APK execute all financial mathematics completely client-side in your device runtime. You can calculate mortgages, auto loans, compound growth, and debt payoffs in airplane mode with 0ms calculation latency.
